Kaden Hopkins Facing Collarbone Surgery
Cyclist Kaden Hopkins has suffered a broken collarbone before his debut season with Belgian team Atom6-Cycleur de Luxe Auto Stroo.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury during the final climb during a training camp in Calpe, Spain.
Hopkins is expected to undergo surgery at Benidorm Hospital.
“Cycling is such a tough, demanding and at times dangerous sport,” his father, Greg Hopkins, posted on social media.
“We are so grateful to his team for taking such good care of him and to Diego [Milan] and Abner for being there for him. True friends.”
Hopkins’s season starts later this month. He raced for Unisportlamentinois – a team in Guadeloupe last season.
