Bermuda Swim Team Place Seventh In Carifta
The Bermuda swimming team finished seventh in the standings at the Carifta Championships in Martinique.
Bermuda won five medals — one gold, two silver and two bronze — to accumulate 205 points.
The girls’ 15–17 4×100 metres medley relay team of Violet Smith, Teagan Mewett, Marleigh Howes and Katherine Wheddon secured gold.
Mewett also claimed bronze in the girls’ 15–17 100 and 200 breaststroke events, while Rory Shepherd won silver in the boys’ 13–14 200 individual medley and 50 backstroke.
The Bahamas topped the standings with 795 points, followed by Jamaica with 754.5 and Trinidad and Tobago with 747.
