Ball Hockey League: CG & BDA Spirits Win

The PCC Hockey Rink hosted a double-header in Bermuda Ball Hockey that produced 13 goals across two matches.

CG defeated Alexandra Mosher 5–2 in a seven-goal contest.

Jeremy Estey opened the scoring in the first period to give CG the lead. Alexandra Mosher equalised through Adam Mattatall, before Ryan Sulley restored CG’s advantage ahead of the first intermission.

Andrew Leavy extended CG’s lead in the second period, the only goal of the frame, giving them a 3–1 advantage heading into the third period.

Brett Shirreffs pulled Alexandra Mosher back into the game in the third period, but CG responded with three unanswered goals. James Vansickle scored to restore a two-goal cushion, before Estey added his second of the match to make it 5–2 and secure the win.

BDA Spirits 4 Hamilton Princess 2

BDA Spirits came from behind to defeat Hamilton Princess 4–2 in the second match.

Hamilton Princess led 1–0 after the first period following a goal from Jean-Michael Tremblay.

Ryan Marshall equalised for BDA Spirits in the second period, before John Duda restored Hamilton Princess’ lead to make it 2–1 after two periods.

BDA Spirits scored three unanswered goals in the third period to complete the comeback. Jeff Loper levelled the match, Andrew Bonner put them ahead for the first time, and Alex Larouche added a fourth to seal the win.
