BASA Hosts 2026 Spring Long Course Meet

The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association hosted the 2026 Spring Long Course Meet this weekend at the National Sports Centre, featuring several of the island’s elite swimmers in preparation for the international season.

Jack Harvey won the Men’s 15 and Over 50 Metre Freestyle, finishing with a time of 23.36 seconds. In the women’s division, Lisa Blackburn took first place in 32.71 seconds. The fastest women’s time of the day was recorded by Madelyn Moore during a time trial, where she finished in 26.23 seconds.

Sam Williamson claimed victory in the Men’s 200 Metre Individual Medley with a time of 2:09.69, finishing ahead of Joseph Lau and Noah Fulton.

The Women’s 200 Metre Individual Medley was won by Scarlett Spurling, who touched the wall in 2:49.92. Jorgia A. White finished in second place, followed by Lila Connolly in third.

In the Men’s 100 Metre Backstroke, Joseph Moniz secured first place with a time of 1:19.45, finishing ahead of Zachary Johnson.

Isla Cooze won the Women’s 100 Metre Backstroke in 1:22.53. Emilia Dunkerley finished in second place, and Ellis Champion took third.
