BDA Releases 2025 Year In Review
The Bermuda Business Development Agency [BDA] has published its 2025 Year in Review, setting out the investment activity, market engagement and economic outcomes that defined the year.
A spokesperson said, “The report reflects a period of more disciplined execution for the BDA as Bermuda’s investment promotion agency, with a stronger focus on pipeline development, investor support and measurable impact across priority sectors.
“Among the headline outcomes, the Economic Investment Residential Certificate [EIRC] programme surpassed $600 million in cumulative investment value, while 2025 activity generated an estimated $19 million in Gross Value Added [GVA]. Across the year, the Business Development team delivered 25 global missions, held 267 strategic meetings, supported 89 projects, and identified approximately 75 new investment opportunities.
“The report also highlights broader indicators of momentum across Bermuda’s economy. Bermuda rose six places globally in the Smart Centres Index and remained the highest-ranked jurisdiction in Latin America and the Caribbean, while continued progress in trust law reform, digital infrastructure and international market engagement helped reinforce Bermuda’s position in priority markets.”
Kendaree Burgess, Managing Director, said: “This report reflects a year of measurable successes for the BDA and for Bermuda. It shows where we have built momentum, where investor interest is growing, and how a more focused approach to investment promotion is translating into real activity across our priority sectors. It also gives us a clearer picture of where opportunity is building, where diversification is gaining ground, and where we need to focus our attention. That matters because better data and stronger partnerships are what allow us to make better decisions and direct effort where it can have the greatest impact for Bermuda.”
The spokesperson said, “The report also outlines how the BDA developed its stakeholder engagement model, expanded international outreach, and continued to sharpen the data and tools used to track impact and support decision-making.
“The BDA Year in Review 2025 is available here.”
