BUEI To Screen ‘One Battle After Another ‘
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] will screen the award-winning film One Battle After Another on Friday [April 24].
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] invites audiences to experience one of the most celebrated films of the year, One Battle After Another, screening Friday, April 24, at 6pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium. [Wheelchair accessible]
“Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another emerged as a standout at the 98th Academy Awards, earning six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film also won Best Supporting Actor [Sean Penn], Best Film Editing, and the Academy’s newly introduced award for Best Casting, marking it as one of the most celebrated cinematic achievements of the year!
“Adapted from Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland, One Battle After Another follows Bob, a washed-up revolutionary living off the grid with his teenage daughter, Willa. When a long-dormant enemy resurfaces and Willa goes missing, Bob is forced back into conflict, embarking on a tense and emotional journey that explores loyalty, legacy, and the consequences of past choices.
