Daniel Holland Tops BGA Monthly Medal
Daniel Holland finished first in the Men’s Division at the Bermuda Golf Association’s April Monthly Medal, producing a round of 66 to end the event at four over par in testing conditions. He won by one stroke in a close finish at the top of the leaderboard.
Holland’s round included three birdies and nine pars. He also recorded a late double bogey and five dropped shots but maintained his position ahead of Dan Roy. Roy finished second with a five-over-par 67 after six bogeys and 11 pars. Arman Newton placed third with a 68 following a triple bogey, along with two birdies and 12 pars, the most in the field.
In the Senior Division for players aged 55 and over, Ann Symonds finished first with a 12-over-par 74. Her round included eight pars and eight bogeys. Geoffrey Piggott placed second on countback after finishing level with Morgan Lightbourne on 76. Lightbourne recorded nine pars, the most in the division, while Piggott limited his double bogeys to secure second place.
