Khano Smith’s Rhode Island FC have reached the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Round of 32, defeating Hartford Athletic 2-0 at Centreville Bank Stadium.
Aldair Sanchez and JJ Williams scored the goal for coach Smith’s side.
Rhode Island are tenth in the United Soccer League Championship Eastern Conference after three games.
They face Detroit City at home on Saturday today [April 4].
