SailGP has announced a three-season partnership with Goslings, naming it the Official Rum and Ginger Beer Supplier across select events through the 2028 season, starting with next month’s Bermuda Sail Grand Prix.

A spokesperson said, “SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, today announced a three-season, multi-event partnership with Goslings, the renowned Bermuda-based producer of premium rum, ginger beer, and ready-to-drink cocktails. The partnership names Goslings as Official Rum and Ginger Beer Supplier across select SailGP events through the 2028 season, launching at next month’s Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix [May 9-10].

“Goslings will play a central role in elevating the fan experience for the global sail racing championship’s fourth visit to the iconic North Atlantic destination.”

Ben Johnson, SailGP Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Goslings to SailGP, as their rich Bermudian heritage and commitment to quality align perfectly with our global championship and the exceptional experiences we deliver to fans around the world. This partnership will bring a new dimension to our events, particularly in Bermuda, where Goslings is such an integral part of the local culture.”

E. Malcolm Gosling, President & CEO of Goslings International Ltd., said: “We’re proud to partner with SailGP. Their cutting-edge technology has transformed sailing into a thrilling spectacle that reaches far beyond the usual crowd. While they create excitement on the water, we create it in the barrel. It’s a perfect match.”

The spokesperson said, “Bringing its signature beverages and rich island heritage to SailGP’s global stage, the collaboration unites two brands deeply connected to the ocean, performance and premium hospitality.

“A family business for over 200 years, Goslings is Bermuda’s largest export product and the only company that blends and bottles rum on the island. First exported to the United States in the 1980’s, Goslings offers an award-winning portfolio, including the flagship Goslings Black Seal Rum and Goslings Stormy Ginger Beer. Both are key ingredients in the trademarked Dark ‘n Stormy® cocktail, which appears like a storm cloud in a glass and – legend has it – was named by a sailor.

“A key highlight of the partnership will be the creation of immersive Race Stadium fan activations. Goslings will host dedicated bar experiences at SailGP events, offering spectators the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing Dark ‘n Stormy® cocktail and other signature serves while watching the world’s best athletes compete at high speeds in excess of 100km/hour. The brand will also serve its products in SailGP’s premium hospitality areas, including the newly launched VELA Beach Club, and top-tier hospitality offering, the Adrenaline Lounge.

“At next month’s Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, Goslings will keep the party going with live Race Stadium music entertainment across the weekend: DJ Rusty G performing Saturday, May 9 and Kassie Cains on Sunday, May 10.

“DJ Rusty is highly regarded as the best DJ in Bermuda, delivering an exciting and energetic experience every time he performs. Caines, known for commanding crowds on the island, is a talented Bermudian vocal artist known for her soul, jazz and R&B performances.

“Beyond this season’s Bermuda debut, Goslings will partner with SailGP on four events in 2027 and three events in 2028, which will be confirmed at a later date.

“Limited tickets to next month’s Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix remain. Find out more at SailGP.com/Bermuda.”
