Bermuda Golfers Extend Lead In Curaçao
Bermuda’s female golfers have maintained their lead at the 46th Annual Kitty Michaels Ladies Invitational in Curaçao after the second round, extending their advantage in the Gross Division.
In warm Caribbean conditions, Bermuda leads the Gross Division by seven strokes over Southwest Florida.
Team captain Tracy Burgess remains the top individual performer, shooting a six-over-par 78 in the second round, with three birdies and nine pars. She leads the Gross Division individually by ten strokes over St. Croix’s Donna Basil.
In the Net Division, Maria Harris is tied for second place after also carding a 78, which included four birdies. She is four strokes behind the Southwest Florida leader. Burgess sits in eighth place in the Net standings, while Katyna Rabain is in tenth.
Katyna Rabain moved into ninth place in the overall standings after a 12-over-par 84 in the second round. Tracy Nash climbed to 14th after shooting an 86. Bermuda is second in the Net Division team standings, four strokes behind Curaçao.
