Bermuda Win 46th Kitty Michaels Golf Event
Bermuda won the 46th Annual Kitty Michaels Ladies Invitational Gross Division in Curaçao after a superb showing.
The Bermudian team finished with a combined 109-over par total across three rounds, ahead of Southwest Florida, who placed second at 118-over par.
Bermuda also finished runners-up in the Net Division on 29-over par, three strokes behind hosts Curaçao, who won the division.
Captain Tracy Burgess won the Gross Division Individual Championship, finishing at 21-over par overall after a final-round 79, which included two birdies and nine pars. She also won the Day 2 “Longest Drive” award.
In the Gross standings, Ann Symonds placed 11th at 53-over par following an 86 in the final round. Maria Harris finished 12th at 54-over par and placed second in the Net Division at 9-over par. Leslie Wollmann finished sixth in the Net Division after a final-round 76.
Bermuda players also collected individual awards, with Jomari Vosloo winning “Closest to the Pin” and Angela Cook taking the final-day “Longest Drive” honour.
The Bermuda squad consisted of Burgess, Tracy Nash, Katyna Rabain, Angela Cook, Jomari Vosloo, Valerie Nearon, Lesley Wollmann, Katrin Burnie, Maria Harris, and Ann Symonds.
