City Seeks Proposals For Taste Of Bermuda
The City of Hamilton is inviting experienced Bermuda-based catering and culinary operators to submit proposals for two immersive dining experiences planned as part of Taste of Bermuda 2026.
A spokesperson said, “Designed to elevate the annual City food festival with theatrical storytelling, technology, and world-class cuisine, the City is seeking creative partners capable of delivering unforgettable culinary events that showcase both innovation and Bermuda’s unique culinary identity.
“Taste of Bermuda, taking place October 8th to 11th, 2026, is the City’s annual culinary celebration showcasing Bermuda’s vibrant food culture, hospitality industry, local chefs, and unique dining experiences. The event attracts residents and visitors alike while highlighting Hamilton as a hub for culinary innovation, entertainment, and community engagement.
“The City is also working alongside valued industry stakeholders, including representatives from organisations such as the Bermuda Hotel Association and Bacardi, as planning continues for Taste of Bermuda 2026.
“The first Request for Proposal [RFP] calls for a catering partner to execute the food and beverage service aspect of an immersive table projection mapping dining experience on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Pier Six. The experience will combine gastronomy, animation, sound, and synchronized visual storytelling to transform the dining table into an interactive stage. The event will feature three seatings, including family-friendly lunch and dinner experiences, followed by an adults-only premium dining event and after-party.
“The second RFP seeks a catering operator for a themed “Dinner & Movie” culinary experience inspired by the beloved Disney film Ratatouille, taking place on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Fort Hamilton. Guests will enjoy a curated French-inspired menu infused with Bermudian ingredients, synchronized with scenes and storytelling elements from the film.
“The City said the immersive experiences form part of a broader vision to continue evolving Taste of Bermuda into a premier culinary and cultural event by blending food, entertainment, creativity, and technology in exciting new ways.
“Taste of Bermuda continues to evolve each year, and these immersive dining concepts are an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of what a culinary event can be. We are looking for creative operators who can deliver experiences that are not only delicious, but memorable, interactive, and truly unique.
“These events are designed to celebrate Bermuda’s culinary talent while creating something fresh and innovative for the island’s entertainment calendar. We encourage interested operators to think boldly and bring forward concepts that capture the imagination.
“Both RFPs are open to experienced companies registered in Bermuda and require operators to collaborate closely with the City’s events and production teams to develop immersive, multi-course dining concepts aligned with the event narratives and overall guest experience.
“The RFP documents outline event objectives, operational requirements, proposal expectations, and evaluation criteria. Submissions will be assessed on creativity and innovation, alignment with the immersive dining concepts, use of local ingredients, relevant culinary experience, team qualifications, and overall value.
“Taste of Bermuda forms part of the City’s broader efforts to support local businesses, drive foot traffic into Hamilton, and create engaging cultural experiences within the City.
“Interested applicants must submit proposals electronically to events@cityhall.bm no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026. Proposal evaluations are scheduled to take place between June 16 and June 19, with contracts expected to be awarded by June 30, 2026.
