Khano Smith’s Rhode Island were defeated 2-1 by the Portland Hearts of Pine away in the group stage of the United Soccer Cup yesterday [May 16].
Rhode Island are tenth in the Eastern Conference after eight games this season.
They are at home to Brooklyn FC in the league on Saturday.
Rhode Island head coach and general manager Smith is a former Bermuda captain and New England Revolution winger.
