Coach Chad Onken Helps Bermuda Swimmers
American coach Chad Onken visited Bermuda to work with the island’s up-and-coming swimmers during a session at the aquatics facility at the National Sports Centre.
Onken, the director of international clinics for the American Swimming Coaches Association [ASCA], is a former coach of American Olympic champion Cullen Jones.
Jones won gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and gold in the 4×100 metres medley relay at the London Games in 2012, where he also claimed silver medals in the 50 freestyle and 4×100 freestyle relay.
Onken is the chief executive and co-owner of the Quest Swimming programme in his hometown of Midlothian, Virginia.
