Golfers To Compete In Caribbean Championship
Five junior golfers are set to represent the island at the Caribbean Junior Golf Championship in the Dominican Republic.
A spokesperson said, “Five of Bermuda’s promising junior golfers will be departing on Sunday, June 28th to participate in the Caribbean Junior Golf Championship being held in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic from June 29th to July 2nd at the prestigious Playa Doradae Golf Club.
“The BGA Junior Golf Select Team comprises of first-time representatives Sa-Qui Robinson, Bradford Laing and Grayson Tavares with previous participants Lewis MacFarlane, and Darina Betschart. The team will be overseen by managers Joanne MacFarlane and Tamara Betschart.
“This group of junior golfers represents a blend of athletes with previous overseas tournament experience and those being provided with new development opportunities through meaningful international competition.
“The event marks the beginning of a busy summer schedule for Bermuda’s junior golfers, with several overseas competitions planned throughout the summer season as part of the BGA’s ongoing junior development and tournament players pathways.”
