Cricket: Bermuda Hold Edge Over Belize

Bermuda will take confidence from their recent record against Belize as they prepare to meet again in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier at the North Field, National Sports Centre, today [June 22].

The last time Bermuda and Belize faced each other in an official match was on December 12, 2024, in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier, with Bermuda claiming a convincing 71-run victory in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Included in the Bermuda team that day were several members of the current squad, including captain Terryn Fray, Tre Manders, Onias Bascome, Derrick Brangman, Jonté Smith and Chare Smith.

Their previous meeting came on November 13, 2021, in Antigua during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier. Bermuda dominated that encounter, winning by seven wickets after chasing down a target of 86 in just eight overs.

Current squad members Delray Rawlins, Onias Bascome and Dominic Sabir all featured in the Bermuda line-up for that match.
