The Department of Parks is inviting public feedback through June 30 to help shape the future design of Parsons Road Park in Pembroke.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Parks is inviting residents, park users and members of the wider public to share their views on the future design of Parsons Road Park in Pembroke.

A public survey is now available on forum.gov.bm, giving the community an opportunity to provide feedback on how the park can better serve the area while supporting safety, accessibility, recreation, environmental sustainability and overall design quality.

“Parsons Road Park currently includes a playground, basketball court and open space for seating and recreation. The park is also connected to important natural features, including the Pembroke Canal and Pembroke Marsh, which support local habitats, wetlands, wildlife and native plant communities.”

The Minister of Public Works and Environment, Jaché Adams, said, “Parsons Road Park is an important community space, and this survey gives residents a direct opportunity to help shape its future.

“We want to hear how the park is used now, what people value about it, and what improvements would make it safer, more welcoming and more useful for the community.”

The Government spokesperson said, “The survey asks the public about their connection to the area, how they currently use Parsons Road Park and nearby parks, what challenges they see, and what features they would like considered in the future design.

“These may include walking paths, playground areas, sports courts, picnic areas, outdoor fitness equipment, public art, community gardens, native planting areas, educational signage, gathering spaces and nature or wetland viewing areas.

“Participants are also asked to comment on safety, accessibility, seating, lighting, pathways, maintenance, environmental protection, and whether the park reflects the needs and identity of the local community.

“The survey takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and responses will remain anonymous unless individuals choose to provide contact information for future project updates or engagement opportunities.

“Feedback collected through the survey will help inform future planning and design recommendations for Parsons Road Park.

“Members of the public are encouraged to visit forum.gov.bm and complete the Parsons Road Park public survey by 30 June.”
