Police Appeal: Locate 11-Year-Old [Located]
[Updated] The police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Liam Murphy.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Bermudian national Liam Murphy.
“Liam was last seen around 3:30pm boarding a bus near Purvis Primary School, Warwick, to make his way to Somerset.
“At the time he was wearing the Purvis Primary School PE uniform, as seen in this image.
“Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 11-year-old Liam Murphy is asked to immediately call the main police number 295-0011.”
Update June 10, 6.45am: A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is renewing the appeal for assistance in locating 11-year-old Liam Murphy. Liam is a pupil at Purvis Primary, Warwick and reportedly boarded a bus near the school around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, headed to Somerset.
“He was also said to have been seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. walking near Carousel Liquors on Somerset Road. Liam is believed to have been wearing his Purvis Primary PE uniform when he was reportedly seen boarding the bus at 3:30 pm yesterday. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately call 295-0011 or 211.”
Update 7.40am: The police said he was seen last night up until 8:40pm and was also seen at football games.
A police spokesperson said, “Once again appealing for information on the whereabouts of 11-year old, Liam Murphy. Liam is a pupil of Purvis Primary, Warwick. He reportedly caught the bus from Purvis into Somerset around 3:30 p.m. yesterday. At the time he was wearing the Purvis Primary PE uniform.
“We’ve been told he got off the bus near Carousel Liquors on Somerset Road and walked back towards Scotts Hill. He was reportedly seen multiple times up until 8:40 pm in the same area. Members of the public have reported seeing him at football games at West End Primary School field and again at Somerset Cricket Club field.
“Again, anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to immediately call 295-0011 or 211.”
Update 8.19am: Police: “Liam Murphy has been located safe and well. We wish to thank you and the public for your assistance in locating him.” [We have removed his photo which was previously issued by the police].
