Reminder: Housing Town Hall On June 16
A public town hall meeting on proposed affordable housing developments in Sandys and Southampton will be held on Tuesday [June 16] at Mount Zion AME Church Hall.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Housing and Municipalities is reminding residents and stakeholders of the upcoming public town hall meeting regarding the proposed affordable housing developments at Victoria Place II [Sandys], Albert Row [Sandys], and Cann Park II [Southampton].”
Minister of Housing and Municipalities Zane DeSilva said, “Affordable housing remains one of the Government’s highest priorities, and we are committed to ensuring that residents have every opportunity to learn about these projects and share their views. These town hall meetings are an important part of the process, allowing us to engage directly with the community, answer questions, and gather valuable feedback as we work to deliver quality, affordable homes for residents.”
The spokesperson said, “The town hall meeting will be held on Tuesday, 16 June, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mount Zion AME Church Hall, 2 Mount Zion Lane, Southampton.
“During the session, Ministry representatives and technical officers will provide information about the proposed developments, including project objectives, site plans, development features, anticipated timelines, and next steps. Residents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposals.
“The Ministry encourages residents of the West End, neighbouring communities, and all interested members of the public to attend and participate in the discussion.
“The Government remains committed to increasing access to quality, affordable housing through transparent engagement and sustainable development initiatives.”
