Skyport Invites VIP Lounge Operators
Skyport is seeking expressions of interest from companies to “operate and maintain two full-service common use VIP Lounges at the airport.”
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Skyport Corporation Limited [Skyport], developer and operator of L.F. Wade [Bermuda] International Airport under a thirty-year agreement with the Government of Bermuda, wishes to invite participation from qualified and reputable companies to operate and maintain two full-service common use VIP Lounges at the airport.
Overview:
“The airport is seeking expressions of interest from organizations with proven experience in airport hospitality and premium passenger service operations. The intention is to identify a qualified operator that can deliver a professionally managed lounge environment for use by passengers. The lounges are expected to contribute positively to the passenger experience, strengthen the airport’s service offering, and support the broader commercial development of the terminal environment.
Scope of Airport Lounge Services
- “Provide day-to-day management, staffing, and supervision of the lounge facilities.
- “Deliver a high standard of customer service and hospitality for lounge users.
- “Operate food and beverage services, amenities, and guest support services.
- “Facilitation of access arrangements for participating airlines, card programmes, memberships, companies, and other approved user groups.
- “The management of commercial performance, reporting, financial controls, and service quality monitoring.
Respondent Profile
“Entities responding to this EOI must be able to demonstrate their ability to successfully manage both International and US Departures VIP Lounges and to deliver on the future development of the Lounges.
“The Respondent’s team can be comprised of one or more firms that may be a joint venture or other legal entity formed [or that will be formed] and able to conduct business in Bermuda.
EOI Submission Requirements
“Each respondent’s submittal should include the following:
“1. Organisation profile, ownership structure, and relevant business background.
“2. Details of experience in airport lounge operations, premium hospitality, concession management, or related services.
“3. Examples of comparable operations currently or previously managed by the Respondent.
“4. A proposed service concept and operational approach for the lounges.
“5. Evidence of financial capacity and organisational capability to undertake the opportunity.
“6. Approach to staffing, training, customer service, and service quality assurance.
“7. Any additional value-add initiatives, innovation, sustainability measures, or partnership opportunities the Respondent wishes to propose.
RFP Meetings with Respondents
“Skyport may host RFP meetings with prequalified Respondents prior to or at the commencement of the RFP process.
“Scheduled Timeline for EOI and RFP Process: 17 June to 25 September, 2026
- EOI Release 17 June
- EOI Submission Deadline 6 July
- RFP Release 15 July
- RFP Submission Deadline 14 August
- Contract Negotiation 24 August to 25 September
- Term of Concession Five [5] years, renewable for one [1] further period of five [5] years
- Targeted Start Date January 1, 2027
