Lambe Scores On Ipswich Wanderers Debut
Bermudian footballer Reggie Lambe marked his Ipswich Wanderers debut in impressive style, scoring a last minute goal as his new side defeated Lakenheath 3-1 this weekend.
Jamie Eaton-Collins opened the scoring for Ipswich Wanderers in the sixth minute before Lakenheath drew level.
Eaton-Collins restored the home side’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute, with Lambe completing the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time to secure the 3-1 victory.
Ipswich Wanderers said more than 300 spectators attended the match at the GBS Stadium and highlighted Lambe’s debut goal in their post-match update.
The 35-year-old joined Ipswich Wanderers last month after leaving Needham Market. Lambe previously played for Suffolk teams Stowmarket Town and AFC Sudbury, while his career has also included spells with Ipswich Town, Toronto FC, Mansfield Town and Cambridge United.
The midfielder retired from international duty last year after an 18-year career with Bermuda. He made his senior international debut in 2007 at the age of 16 and retired as the island’s most-capped player.
