Isaiah O’Brien Shines For Ontario Academy
Bermuda cricketer Isaiah O’Brien helped Ontario Cricket Academy maintain their unbeaten start to the Canadian International Cricket Festival Under-19 League with two more victories.
O’Brien took two for 20 as Ontario beat Trinidad and Tobago Secondary Schools’ Cricket League by nine runs after posting 150 for three from 20 overs. He also scored eight runs.
Ontario then made it three wins from three with a seven-wicket victory over Oakville Under-19.
O’Brien conceded 16 runs from three overs and took three catches before finishing unbeaten on 18 from 12 balls, hitting two sixes and a four, as Ontario chased down 139.
O’Brien had launched Ontario’s campaign with an explosive 86 from 34 balls in a six-wicket win over Youngstar Under-19.
He struck nine sixes and six fours as Ontario reached a revised Duckworth-Lewis-Stern target of 125 in 11.4 overs after rain interrupted the match. O’Brien also took one for 19 with the ball.
