Inclement weather disrupted Bermuda’s domestic cricket programme on Sunday [August 23], with St David’s Cricket Club and Cleveland County recording victories in the Premier and First Divisions. Rain affected several fixtures across the island, while the two completed matches featured dominant bowling performances followed by comfortable run chases.

Premier Division – St David’s Won By 10 Wickets: Willow Cuts 43, St David’s 48/0

St David’s Cricket Club recorded a 10-wicket victory over Willow Cuts at Somerset Cricket Club after dismissing their opponents for 43 in 20.5 overs.

Derrick Brangman led the St David’s bowling attack with figures of 6/17 from ten overs, while Brian Hall claimed 3/11.

First Division – Cleveland County Won By 10 Wickets: Devonshire Rec 19, Cleveland County 20/0

Cleveland County recorded a 10-wicket victory over Devonshire Recreation Club after dismissing their opponents for 19.

Jermal Proctor led the Cleveland bowling with figures of 3/3, while Makai Young claimed 2/5 and Isaiah Greaves returned figures of 2/1.

Cleveland quickly reached the required total, scoring 20 without loss in 3.1 overs.

Steven Bremar Jr finished unbeaten on 12, while Q’Shai Darrell added eight not out to complete the victory.
