Ja’Shay Trott Helps NextGen Win Opener
Bermudian cricketer Ja’Shay Trott helped Americas NextGen make a winning start to their build-up for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualification with a 77-run victory over Cayman Islands Women.
In a match reduced to ten overs per side, Americas NextGen posted 119 for two after being sent in to bat.
Saanvi Sood top-scored with an unbeaten 65, while Trott was not required to bat.
Cayman Islands struggled in reply, managing 42 for three from their ten overs.
Trott took the opening wicket and finished with figures of one for nine from her two overs.
