Team Hayward To Host Event On August 5th
Team Hayward will host an event at Horseshoe Bay Beach Terrace on August 5th, serving as an “opportunity for us to come together as one community, connect with one another, and recommit ourselves to shaping the future our people deserve.”
A spokesperson said, “Team Hayward is inviting members of the community to join in a special Post-Emancipation Day Celebration on Wednesday, August 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Horseshoe Bay Beach Terrace.
“The celebration will provide an opportunity for residents, supporters, families, and friends to come together in the spirit of unity, fellowship, and reflection as Bermuda commemorates one of the most significant periods in its history.
“Emancipation Day is a time to honour the courage and resilience of those who endured slavery and fought for freedom, while recognizing the responsibility of each generation to continue advancing equality, opportunity, and justice for all Bermudians.”
Speaking about the event, Minister Jason Hayward said, “Our Emancipation story is one of strength, perseverance, and hope. As we celebrate the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us, we are reminded that the work of building a fairer, stronger, and more prosperous Bermuda continues. This celebration is an opportunity for us to come together as one community, connect with one another, and recommit ourselves to shaping the future our people deserve.”
The spokesperson said, “Guests can expect an enjoyable evening of conversation, music, and community fellowship in the beautiful surroundings of Horseshoe Bay Beach. Complimentary food and refreshments will be served.
“The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
“Team Hayward looks forward to welcoming the community for an evening celebrating Bermuda’s heritage, our shared values, and our collective commitment to building a brighter future.”
