Jace Donawa Records Assist In UNC Victory
Bermudian footballer Jace Donawa recorded an assist of the season as the University of North Carolina defeated American University 2-0 at Dorrance Field.
Second-half goals from Luca Nikolai and Joschi Schelb secured the victory, taking the Tar Heels’ record to two wins, one defeat and three draws.
Donawa entered as a substitute in the 78th minute and helped create Carolina’s second goal eight minutes later. His cross towards the penalty spot reached Faraji Ramani, who laid the ball back for Schelb to beat a defender and score his fourth goal of the season. Donawa and Ramani were both credited with assists for the goal.
