Nesbeth Named MVP In Como’s Opening Win
Bermudian footballer Leilanni Nesbeth provided the assist for Como Women’s winning goal and was named MVP as they opened their Serie A campaign with a 2-1 victory over Ternana Women in Italy.
Nesbeth started the match at the Stadio Moreno Gubbiotti in Narni on Sunday [September 27].
Como took the lead through an own goal in the eighth minute, before Hornemann equalised for the hosts in the 32nd minute to leave the teams level at half-time.
Nesbeth helped create the winner early in the second half, combining with Ronan down the left before delivering a cross for Agnete Nielsen to head home in the 51st minute.
Nielsen’s first goal for Como secured three points for the visitors in their opening match of the 2026/27 league season.
