Newstead Belmont Hills Wins Golf Classic
The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce held its 22nd Annual Chamber Golf Classic, with Team Newstead Belmont Hills claiming the 2026 title.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s 22nd Annual Chamber Golf Classic was another outstanding event, bringing together members, sponsors and business leaders for a day of networking and friendly competition. This year, the Chamber was also pleased to welcome His Excellency the Governor, Andrew Murdoch, and officials from Government House.
“Team Newstead Belmont Hills was crowned the 2026 champion in a closely contested field, dethroning reigning champion Belco. The winning team, represented by Colin Swan, Derriek Douglas, Gary Burgess and Bushara Bushara, took home a gift basket curated by Title Sponsor Butterfield Bank and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, including VIP tickets to the upcoming Championship in October.
“Second place was secured by Team HSBC, represented by Lee Simons, Matt Hagerty, Brendan McDonagh and Chris Lemieux. Third place went to Team BZ Limited, represented by Joshua Cabrera, David Smith, Chris Smith and Dennis Pitcher.
“Beyond the leaderboard, the tournament continues to serve as a valuable platform for relationship-building within Bermuda’s business community while supporting the Chamber’s advocacy and member initiatives. This year’s event placed a spotlight on Chamber member vendors and included twenty [20] supported participants, keeping economic activity circulating within the Chamber ecosystem.”
