Cayman Islands Beat Bermuda In Opener
Bermuda fell to the Cayman Islands by two wickets in their opening match of the North America Cup at the Jimmy Powell Cricket Oval.
Bermuda, after winning the toss and electing to bat, were dismissed for 113, with Kamau Leverock top-scoring with 46.
Romeo Dunka led the Cayman Islands bowling attack with 3-27 from three overs as Bermuda lost wickets at regular intervals.
The Cayman Islands faced a strong response from Bermuda’s bowlers and reached 115-8 to secure victory.
Bermuda captain Delray Rawlins produced a standout spell, taking 4-15 from his four overs as he dismissed Cayman batters in the top and middle order and kept Bermuda in contention.
Andre McCarthy scored a steady 28 for the Cayman Islands, helping the hosts reach their target with two wickets remaining.
