Smith & Dailey Win Powerade 5K Road Race
Sanchez Smith and Christine Dailey claimed the men’s and women’s titles at the Powerade 5K on Sunday [September 13].
Smith crossed the line first in 17:27.38, ahead of Oliver Brunnock in second place in 17:44.63. Tim Price completed the men’s top three, finishing in 19:03.78.
Dailey won the women’s race and finished fourth overall in 19:41.22. Stepanka Sprincova was the second woman across the line, placing sixth overall in 20:22.39, while Mae Tirfe finished third among the women and ninth overall in 20:42.63.
The race started and finished at Butterfield & Vallis on Orange Valley Road, with the course taking runners along Middle Road, Parsons Lane, Palmetto Road and Frog Lane.
