David Selley and Steven Bridges won the Super Stock National Championship at the XInsurance Great Lakes Grand Prix in Clearwater Beach, Florida, while Luis Martins and Nick Imprescia claimed victory in Sunday’s [September 27] race.

In the make-up race for the Great Lakes Grand Prix in Michigan City, staged as part of the Clearwater event, Martins and throttleman Imprescia led from start to finish in their S-12 Nuff Said.

Team Bermuda’s S-25 boat finished third, with Selley driving and Bridges handling the throttles, to secure the championship title.

“It’s all about teamwork,” Imprescia said. “All the guys in the shop, all the guys in the pit, and all the people that help us each day.

“Thank you, Bermuda. Thanks to all the guys listening and supporting.”

Martins and Imprescia have been in fine form this season, also winning the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Missouri in June.

They have finished in the top six in all but one race this year.

Bridges and Selley have won four races this season, while also finishing second twice and third once in their 32-foot, twin-engined catamaran.

In Saturday’s race, they placed third, with Martins and Imprescia finishing fourth.
