Bermuda U15s Win Tier D Finals At World Cup
Bermuda’s under-15 national football team concluded their FIFA U-15 World Cup campaign with a 2–0 victory over Jordan in Azerbaijan.
Adam Barritt opened the scoring in the second minute before De’Ari Trott doubled Bermuda’s advantage two minutes later on Pitch 10A at the Hovsan Competition Complex. The two early goals proved decisive as Bermuda kept a clean sheet to win their final Tier D placement match.
The result followed Thursday’s 4–0 victory over Bahrain, giving Bermuda successive wins to close their campaign. The inaugural event brought together 189 teams, with eight-a-side matches played over two 20-minute halves. Teams were divided into six tiers following the group stage, with all sides continuing to compete through to the final matchday.
The Bermuda Football Association posted the graphic below and stated, “A 2-0 win over Jordan to finish on a high. Our U15 boys have represented Bermuda on the world stage and are bringing home the Tier D Finals title!
“A special moment for this group, their coaches, families and everyone back home who has supported them along the way. The future is bright.”
