Four Cricket Players Selected For Match In Antigua
Isaiah O’Brien, Keegan Jones, Sa-Qui Robinson and Zeri Tomlinson have been selected to represent Bermuda in the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting T10 U23 Exhibition Match in Antigua on November 1.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] is proud to announce that four standout emerging players—who have successfully graduated from the national U19 program—have been selected to represent Bermuda in the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting [CHOGM] T10 U23 Exhibition Match.
“The high-profile showcase takes place on November 1st at the iconic Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium in Antigua. Organized in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting proceedings under the banner “One Commonwealth, One Team,” the exhibition brings together elite youth talents from across member nations to celebrate sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and international athletic excellence.
Selected Players
“The four U19 national team graduates called up for this prestigious event represent the next generation of Bermudian talent:
- Isaiah O’Brien
- Keegan Jones
- Sa-Qui Robinson
- Zeri Tomlinson
“Demonstrating exemplary dedication both on and off the pitch, three of these student-athletes are currently balancing high-performance cricket development with college or university studies overseas, while one is employed locally in Bermuda and actively seeking to advance his education in the near future.
Strategic Partnership & CWI Collaboration
“This landmark player selection is a direct result of the strategic Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] initiated by BCB President Lloyd Smith in partnership with Cricket West Indies [CWI].
“The agreement has already delivered high-performance technical benefits to Bermuda, having initially enabled the secondment of former West Indies Test match coach Andre Coley as an International High-Performance Cricket Consultant. The ongoing operational execution of this MOU follows regular quarterly strategy sessions between BCB Executive Director Cal Blankendal and CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe, designed to establish consistent, high-value regional pathways for Bermudian cricket personnel.
“This strategic alignment highlights the BCB’s continuous efforts to expand international exposure for players, coaches, and officials through:
- “Overseas Playing Opportunities: Securing invitations to regional fixtures and highperformance showcases like the CHOGM U23 event to build international match experience.
- “Elite Coaching & Technical Consultancy: Leveraging the MOU to integrate top-tier regional expertise—such as Andre Coley’s high-performance consultancy—into national team structures.
- “Domestic Workshops & Development Programs: Hosting localized coaching clinics, umpiring seminars, and scoring workshops led by regional and international experts.
- “Structured Talent Pathways: Ensuring seamless transitions for athlete progression from grassroots youth squads into elite senior representation.
