Minister Wilson Addresses Age Concern Meeting
Earlier this week, the Minister of Health Kim Wilson was the guest speaker at Age Concern Bermuda’s Public General Meeting, recognising the organisation’s important work supporting older Bermudians and their families.”
Minister Wilson said, “I appreciate the work that Age Concern Bermuda does. To everyone involved — your leadership, your volunteers, your caregivers, your advocates and your community partners — thank you. The work you do matters, and it makes a real difference in the lives of older Bermudians and their families.
“I also want to acknowledge the role that community organisations and our churches play in this work. I strongly believe: caring for our seniors is not just the responsibility of Government or the healthcare system. It is a responsibility we all share.”
A Government spokesperson added, “The Minister also highlighted improvements to HIP and FutureCare benefits, including free annual health examinations, expanded prescription drug coverage and the removal of the waiting period for Personal Home Care benefits.”
