Robinson Scores As Thomas Claims 500th Win
Bermudian footballer Cody Robinson scored for the second consecutive match as Thomas College defeated Lesley University 6-0 to secure the top seed in the North Atlantic Conference [NAC] Men’s Soccer Tournament on Wednesday [October 28].
The talented footballer found the net in the 52nd minute, converting a move involving David Ivarsson and Kevin Segura to extend the Terriers’ lead to 3-0 at their home ground in Waterville, Maine.
Robinson, a former Saltus Grammar School student, registered five shots during the match, including three on target.
Andrew Hodgins and Aaron Page also scored as the Terriers dominated proceedings, registering 30 shots compared with just five from their opponents.
The victory marked the 500th win in the Thomas College men’s soccer programme’s history and completed an unbeaten NAC campaign, with the Terriers winning all seven of their conference matches.
Thomas improved their overall record to 11 wins and three defeats and will host the winner of the University of Maine at Farmington and Lesley University quarter-final in the NAC tournament semi-finals on Wednesday [November 4].
