Southampton Rangers Host Prayer Gathering
Southampton Rangers Sports Club hosted a Community Prayer Gathering on Sunday [Nov 1], bringing together club members, faith leaders, and local residents for an evening of unity, reflection, prayer, and support.
A spokesperson said, “The gathering opened with a welcome from Club President Darren “Butch” Burchall and featured contributions from Troy Lowe, Chantel Bean, Sister Dr. Williams, Brother Peter Rego, and Chaplain Dr. Kevin Santucci. Rev. Dr. Leonard Santucci of Vernon Temple Church also offered words of comfort and prayer, encouraging residents to come together in solidarity. Attendees joined hands in a heartfelt display of togetherness, reflecting the strength and importance of community support.”
Reflecting on the importance of the gathering, Club President Darren “Butch” Burchall shared: “It has been written that a community will perish when the children it ignores return to burn it down. We are here to put the fire out before it causes more damage. Bringing the community together to pray and reflect is the first step in that process.”
A spokesperson added, “The gathering reflects Southampton Rangers’ continued commitment to serving not only its members but the wider community, fostering meaningful connections and providing a space for support beyond sport.”
