Bermuda’s Director of Tourism Billy Griffith was interviewed at the World Travel Market, which was held in London in November 2009. There were 187 countries and regions represented, with 25,000 attendees.

Billy Griffith has been the Tourism Director since 2008. Prior to assuming that role he had been active in the tourism industry for decades. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of the West Indies where he gained a hotel management degree.
Mr. Griffith has been General Manager of the Harmony Club and Belmont Hotel, as well as President of the Bermuda Resort Hotels, managing operations at Surfside Beach, Grape Bay and the Wharf Executive Suites.
He had also been president of the Hotel Employers of Bermuda, Chairman of the Bermuda Hotel Association Marketing Committee, President of the Bermuda Hotel Association, Chairman of the Stonington Beach Hotel Committee, Member of the Board of Tourism and Co-chair of the Bermuda Alliance for Tourism.
