The Heritage Day cycle race was introduced in 1987, and renamed in honour of the late Sinclair Packwood in 1998. With about 75 entries in 2010, the defending champion, New Zealander Graeme Miller, is no longer residing in Bermuda, leaving the field wide open for other top contenders. The race followed the same route as the marathon does; from Somerset to Hamilton.
