US Coast Guard Evacuates Crew Member

On October 24th, a crew member from a boat 250 nautical miles away from Bermuda was evacuated due to a medical emergency.

A combined effort from local authorities and the United States Coast Guard saw the individual safely evacuated from the 124 foot Motor Yacht ‘Perle Bleue’ to L.F. Wade International Airport and onto King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The US Coast Guard launched two C-130 aircraft and a J-Hawk helicopter to assist in the medical evacuation.
