Video: Sprinter Tre Houston Sets New PB
Bermuda’s top sprinter Harold “Tre” Houston performed admirably at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, setting not one – but two personal bests. Mr Houston finished 4th in Heat 8 running in Lane 2 of the Men’s 100m, in a time of 10.58 which was a personal best that saw him finish 22nd overall in a field of 64 competitors advancing to the quarter-finals.
In the quarter-finals Mr. Houston fired out the blocks and ran a time of 10.45, which shattered his personal best time of 10.58 that he had just set. To further explain what an excellent showing this was, Mr Houston’s time is only 0.17 off the Olympic qualifying time of 10.28 for the 100 metres.
Watch below, Mr Houston is in Lane 2:
“Almost doesn’t count”…
I’m so proud of my friend! Uncle Ruckus can you run 100meters in 10.28 and qualify for the olympics?! If so instead of bringing him down you should help motivate this young BERMUDIAN representing his country! He is a young man who is doing very well and wants to reach for the best.
