Alterra: Bermuda’s Company Of The Decade
Bermuda speciality re/insurer Alterra is both a trailblazing company — and in extremely good company.
Along with such global industry powerhouses as Finland’s Nokia, Japan’s Toyota and America’s Apple, the firm has today [Mar. 11] been named as Bermuda’s Company of the Decade by a leading business magazine.
“World Finance” is a financial magazine produced every two months by World News Media, based in the United Kingdom. It works in partnership with Reuters to provide business news, data and commentary
“During its highs and lows, the global economy of the past decade has shown favour to those who have adopted conservative strategies, and crushed those who have been reckless,” said a magazine spokesman. “The World Finance Company of the Decade awards represents an accolade for companies that have performed exceptionally and proven themselves as dynamic forces in their industry.
“Not only has the operation of these businesses been of superlative quality, but their reputation for excellence has brought admiration from their respective industries and made them an enviable employer.
“Crucially, the quality of service to customers has been of the highest standard – and in most cases continually developing these relationships and methods of delivery remain a top priority. ‘World Finance’ magazine is proud to reflect on the success of these companies over the past 10 years, and we await what the next 10 will bring for them.”
