Three Arrested After Front Street Incident
[Updated] Three men were arrested and cautioned after an incident on Front Street early this morning [May 25], which saw one of the men injured.
A Police spokesman said, “Around 2am on Wednesday, Police responded to a reported disturbance on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.”
“Officers observed two men involved in a verbal dispute and as a result one of the individuals, a 25 year old Paget man, was arrested.”
“He was later cautioned and released. In addition two Pembroke men, a 27 year old and a 20 year old, were also arrested in connection with this incident.”
“The 20 year old was injured and an ambulance attended the scene; however his injury is not believed to be serious. No one was willing to make a formal complaint and therefore both Pembroke men were later cautioned and released as well.”
Bernews unofficially understands that the incident started at a Front Street nightclub at approximately 1:30pm, and spilled out into the streets.

Stupid people!
Start with imaturity. Add alcohol. Most likely throw a short skirt into the mix. This is what you get. Stupid people.
I Agree With That One.
Actually, I think it’s more like-ignorant/ghetto mentality+Alcohol= Fighting in the streets
It’s all the UBP’s fault. As for short skirts…years ago you got a ticket for them. Glad it wan’t outside ‘Pickled Onion’………cause there ver many ‘pickled onions roaming the streets hafta dee hullydayz…..bwahaaaaaa
Terry…………………….you a F@#$% racist
Terry is wrong. Ax pats are to blame. And status Bermudians too!
I hope that your observation of ex-pat workers is not one that they go around causing fights? I can only be led to believe then that you are one of these so-called gangstas who wishes to deflect the blame of being responsible for such despicable behaviour. 95% of our expat work force have to endure prejudice and discrimination on a daily basis. Do you honestly believe that they would make it harder for themselves to exist in this already twisted system? You’re obviously misinformed because if you have seen for yourself the existance of most expats, you would change your opinion.
it was sarcasm related to how a lot bermudians blame all their issues on foreigners…
It was sarcasm yes – sorry if you took it seriously. However there are some Bermudians who do blame everything on foreigners I’m sad to say.
go suck a rock
I would blame foreign workers too..Think they can bad talk Bermudians and down to us like their any better..
@ Black pride= IGNANT
Dez rite Black pride…yoo tallum…..ann ‘citizen’ his horn dee munnee two…..
So who you lutt gonna blame nax. Jingus….Bermuda Triangle?
Funny that you say that. Although i think you’re joking about expats being to blame for a situation like this i’ve personally heard one such expat make a comment along those lines.
A friend of mine rented the back room at the Wine Cellar for his birthday. near the end on the night an Irish guy (corporate type) walked in the room with two expat friends and sat on the couch. all three pulled out cigarettes and started to light them up. we politely asked them not to as the room was rented for a private function and that it is illegal to smoke in that establishment. the irish guy looked at us as if we hadn’t said a word and continued to light up and said ‘ its just a cigarette and you f*cking bermudians need to realize we keep you f*cking alive’. To which one of the girls jumped off her seat and slapped the cigarette out of his mouth clear across the room and when he went for another she grabbed the pack and broke them all up. as he left he said ‘f*ck you’
To that day i had no ill feelings towards expats but i’m obviously open to the fact now that some of them may truly think they are bigger/better than us.
I find this story hard to believe and embellished at best because I know for a fact that ANY Bermudian would have wiped the floor with his tail even before allowing him the pleasure of an F*** You!!
Black Pride, you should be ashamed of labelling yourself with that monicker and allowing the thought, not only to enter your mind, but to go as far as to put it in writing.
I’ll excuse you this time and make an excuse for you: You obviously were not in the general area when this event occurred and someone “told” you what had happened. That person embellished the truth for effect and you were unfortunate enough to repeat what you had been told.
I pray to God that this is at least close to what happened or you’ve made yourself look the biggest ignorant fool there has ever been.
I must have missed the part of the article that said they were expats and or status Bermudians.. Wonder if it’s the attitude young Bermudians have these days, attitudes like that of Black Pride and Citizen Banned that have something to do with the fighting. From what I see when I’m out, expats are happy drunks and don’t want to pick a fight if you simply bump into them.. SMH
It’s a shame that the police just sat sat there and watched this take place,
remember fellow bermudians that our distant relatives were once expat workers!!!!!!
Bermuda day was fabulous.
This article is inaccurate. I am absolutely appalled with the official statement from the BPS.
