Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders Swimsuit Shoot

The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders are leaving their pom-poms at home but will be packing their bikinis when they arrive in Bermuda tomorrow [May 26] for their their annual swimsuit calendar photo shoot.

More than 30 cheerleaders for the Atlanta NFL team will join Tourism Minister Patrice Minors on board the  inaugural AirTran Airwaysmore flight from the Georgia city.

AtlantaFalcons.com Cheerleader Correspondent Sara D. said at her blog today [May 25] the team is looking forward to visiting Bermuda for the 2012 calendar  shoot.

“Hey there, Falcons Fans! I’m taking a brief break from my interview series this week to catch you up on what we’ve been doing lately, as well as something that has been on every cheerleader’s mind for the past month …

“And now…the big thing on every cheerleader’s mind. Drum roll please…!

“Once again, we have been lucky enough to travel abroad to shoot our stunning swimsuit calendar. This year, we will be jet-setting to Bermuda! We’ll be staying at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess which is one of the most established hotels on the island.

“Fun fact: the hotel opened in 1885 and name for Princess Louise, the daughter of Queen Victoria of England. It is Bermuda’s most storied landmark luxury hotel and celebrated its 125th anniversary last year. If that doesn’t scream cool, I don’t know what does.

“I’m excited to see what this hotel and resort has to offer, and I know that we will get some great shots of all of the girls on the team while staying at this beautiful location.”

Tourism Department officials — who staged a Gombey display in Atlanta in March to help promote the new AirTran route — are hoping some of the cheerleaders will join Hamilton’s unofficial morning greeter Johnny Barnes at the Foot of the Lane roundabout during  their visit.
