Video: Nahki Wells Scores Two Goals

October 6, 2012

[Updated with video] Bermuda’s Nahki Wells continues his scoring streak, this time firing in two goals during Bradford City’s match against Dagenham today [Oct 6].

He scored his first goal in the 56th minute which was described as a “superb 25-yard free-kick,” and converted a penalty in the 61st minute.

Despite Wells two goals and one from Alan Connell, Bradford fell to a 4-3 defeat at Dagenham Stadium.

The 22-year-old has now scored seven goals already this season, including a sensational performance last week which saw him score two goals with only 8 minutes left in the game to force extra-time.

He finished last season — his first as a professional — with 12 goals including a hat-trick in Bradford’s win over Northampton Town back in April of this year. He recently signed a new three-year deal with Bradford City that will keep him with the team until July 2015.

Update 9.55pm: Thanks to a comment left with the link, the video of both goals is below.

Congrats. Good to see a young Bermudian get somewhere through hard work. There is a lot of honor in a hard day of work, even if you sweep streets, pick up trash, or wash dishes.

You have done well and these next few years will make or break your career. Work hard, make friends, and always be professional not emotional when you play. Congrats and good luck to you.
