Bermuda’s Nahki Wells is now the top scorer for Bradford City, with seven goals thus far this season. James Hanson is second on the charts with five goals, while Andrew Davies and Alan Connell both have three goals each.

The 22-year-old striker scored two goals during Bradford’s match against Dagenham on Oct 6, two goals in their games against Burton Albion on Sept 25, one goal in their win over Oxford United on Sept. 22, and also scored in their win over Wimbledon on Aug 22.

Wells signed with Bradford last year and finished last season — his first as a professional — with 12 goals. He was originally received a one year contract, however recently signed a new three-year deal with Bradford City.

Speaking in a previous interview, Wells said: “I look up to the likes of Shaun Goater and Kyle Lightbourne, who made it in England, and use their careers as an example to ignite mine.”

“There are a lot of hungry, younger Bermudians who have seen me come over here. It’s all about the timing and the right move. People are always contacting me to see how things are going. They are behind me and hopeful that my career blossoms.

“I suppose I am considered as a role model but I’m just trying to do the best for myself, my family and my country.”
