November 24, 2013

The 2013 Bermuda Digest of Statistics edition was recently released by the Department of Statistics. This 140 page compendium of more than 80 statistical tables provides a wealth of data about Bermuda’s social, demographic, environmental and economic conditions.

Some tables from the previous edition have been removed because the data is no longer available or is in a different format. Similarly, tables have been modified or added to this edition to enhance the variety of data provided.

As far as population, the Digest said that n 2010, the civilian non-institutional population stood at 64,237. Between 2000 and 2010, the foreign-born population increased by 5%, with the main source of Bermuda’s foreign-born population from the UK. Between 2000 and 2010, the Bermuda-born population decreased by 3%.

If I am to believe Mr. Richards, why are we releasing something that is incorrect?
