“Members of the public are encouraged to contact the Ferry Terminal at 295-4506 for the latest service updates. Marine & Ports apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and understanding.”

“several ferries” – so does that mean 50% of the ferries, since Green and Blue routes are 1/2 of the four routes?
What is it with Bermuda’s inability to keep mechanical things running?
“several ferries are currently experiencing mechanical issues”
They are less than 1 year old. Have they not been properly maintained in their first year of service?
Over time engines, properly maintained, reach the end of their lives. The boats, also if properly maintained, can live on with re manufactured or new engines.
What is the case with these Bermuda ferries? Given the way Government maintains, or does not, everything else that it is supposed to take care of on behalf of the public that owns it, there is a sure bet that these ferries have not been maintained properly and their engines have low hours on them for life expectancy.
But this is Bermuda. The PLP thinks that we are awash with money. We love shiny and new. We will sell these boats to someplace for pennies that sees the value in them and will restore them and get many more years service out of them.
Why isn’t the Premier doing a photo opp with his hands in the air waiting for a non-existent ferry.
He did one with the marine and ports crew re the boat fire. Leveraging their bravery for his own image.
Governments stella maintenance programme at work here. Hold on…They dont maintain anything, just look around you. Nuff said
