Results: Women’s Futsal League Round Up
Thirty goals were scored during the latest round of the Women’s Futsal League inside the Warwick Academy Gymnasium.
Somerset Hurricanes 11 Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 1
Shauntae Todd scored 4 goals to lead the Somerset Hurricanes to an 11 – 1 victory over the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds. The Somerset Hurricanes dominated the game from start to finish and led 4 – 0 at half-time.
They added seven more goals in the second-half. Eva Frazzonia and Dahzjah Greaves both added a hat-trick and Sierra Fisher scored once. The Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds prevented the shut-out with Deborah Menezes scoring their only goal.
Dandy Stars 5 Hamilton Parish 4
Hamilton Parish stunned Dandy Stars in the first-half and jumped out to an early 3 – 0 lead. Dandy Stars got going and scored 2 goals but at half-time Hamilton Parish was still up 3 – 2.
The game remained close throughout the second-half, but Dandy Stars managed to squeeze out the win, scoring 3 goals to Hamilton Parish’s 1 to win the game 5 – 4.
Cleshaunay Darrell-Virgil and Donte Allen both scored twice and Nia Christopher scored once for Dandy Stars while Jayda Hill-Steede and Karen Dechabert scored two goals each for Hamilton Parish.
PHC Lady Zebras 5 Footy Force Stars 4
The game of the evening saw the league leaders PHC Lady Zebras severely tested by a focused Footy Force team. The teams were evenly matched and the score was tied up at 2 each at half-time.
The second-half saw PHC maintain their composure to score 3 goals versus Footy Force’s 2 to win the game 5 to 4. Jessica Furtado was outstanding for PHC, scoring a hat-trick, while Kalay Hollis and Raeesah Shakir scored a goal each.
K’Shaela Burch-Waldron scored twice for Footy Force who also got a goal each from Cheyra Bell and Danielle Foot.
