Flora Duffy Finishes 18th In ITU World Series
Bermuda’s Flora Duffy finished the ITU World Series Chicago in 18th place clocking a time of 1:59:45.
Competing in very strong Elite Pro Women’s field on Saturday [June 28], Duffy completed the swim in a time of 21:01, she then clocked 58:48 on the bike, before closing out with a time of 38:23 on the run.
Highlights of the Elite Women’s Race, Duffy gets a mention at the 1 minute mark:
American Gwen Jorgensen won the race with a time of 1:55:33, Helen Jenkins from Great Britain finished second with a time of 1:55:53 and Juri Ide from Japan finished 3rd clocking 1:56:00.
130 of the world’s fastest triathletes – 65 elite men and 65 elite women – competeed in the draft-legal, Olympic-distance race [1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run] along the shores of Lake Michigan.
