Where are the life guards
some parks have two (WTF…..
They’re at the beaches frequented by tourists. If you go just where the locals go, you’re on your own.
The camp should have provided one. If you put in a request for one with the parks, I’m sure they would have provided them with one. Admiralty house isn’t used enough to warrant a full time life guard.
My question is why weren’t the camp guides watching these kids properly?
Admirality House is one of the most used beaches on this island. To say it isn’t used enough just means that you havn’t been there often enoug hto appreciate it. During the summer months this park is one of our islands popular spots, at least amougnst the locals, to swim picnic and relax. That said, i doupt a lifegaurd is needed. People just need to pay attention more to the children they have that are swimming.
The inherit risks of our south shore beaches are much greater than that of the extremely enclosed bay at Admiralty House.
What we all,(who believe in God) can say is, “thank you Lord for saving this young boys life”.
What I would like to know is what camp was this child attending? Having a small child who is attending different camps for the first time this year I would like to be informed.
I agree as I also have children attending camp for the first time and you want to know that your children are well supervised especially when near water. It can happen so quickly. Thank goodness he is ok.
